HOW TO ENROLL & USE THE ALTERNA APPLICATION HUB
Step 1
Download the Alterna Application Hub using the link or QR code provided to you by an Alterna representative or affiliate. The Hub is available in the Apple Store and on Google play.
Step 2
Once the Application Hub has finished downloading to your phone, open it up and start with the application at the top of the list.
This is where you will enroll for your Alterna USA account. Once you are successfully enrolled, this will be your primary account management application.
To enroll, you will need a government-issued photo ID from your country of origin and proof of address in the United States. Proof of address can be any mail/monthly bill displaying your name and address or a U.S. driver license/ID card.

This is where you will enroll for your Alterna USA account. Once you are successfully enrolled, this will be your primary account management application.

You will also need an email address to complete your enrollment. If you do not know your email address, follow these instructions to find your email address on your phone:
For an Android phone
- Open Settings.
- Go to Google (or Manage your Google account).
- Look for your email address next to your name and profile photo.
- Alternatively, open the Email app and select your email provider to enter your email address and account details.
For an Apple phone:
- Open Settings on your iPhone.
- Tap on your name at the top. You will see your Apple ID at the top just below your name and profile picture.
- If email ID doesn’t show up, tap on Name, Phone Numbers, and Email. You will see Apple ID and iCloud account. These can be used for FaceTime, iMessage, etc.
Step 3
After you have successfully enrolled for your Alterna Card and digital account, open up the Alterna Remesas app and setup your profile.
With the Remesas App, you can send money to Alterna accounts in Mexico & Guatemala, to most bank accounts across Latin America and for cash pickup at over 55,000 locations in Latin America

Step 4
The last step is to enroll your family in Mexico for their own Alterna Mexico Account & Debit Card. Simply click on the link “Share app with family” and you can choose to send the link by text, email or WhatsApp. Your family member will then click on the link you send them and begin the easy enrollment.
Once your family member has successfully enrolled in Mexico, have them send you their Alterna account information so that you can save it in your Alterna Remesas App for fast, easy and convenient money transfers.
Mexican citizens residing in the United States can also enroll for an Alterna Mexico account. All that’s needed is a Mexican ID, Mexican address and Mexican cell phone number.
The last step is to enroll your family in Mexico for their own Alterna Mexico Account & Debit Card. Simply click on the link “Share app with family” and you can choose to send the link by text, email or WhatsApp. Your family member will then click on the link you send them and begin the easy enrollment.
